    The Library has purchased National licences via the ISTEX project for access to the following publishers' archives:

      - BMJ Publishing Group Limited journals (up to 2013)

      - Brill:
          - journals up to 2012
          - the English and the German versions of the encyclopaedia New Pauly Online, but not the supplements

      - Cambridge University Press journals (up to 2010)

      - De Gruyter journals (up to 2012)

      - EDP Sciences journals (up to 2012)

      - Elsevier and Cell Press journals up to 2001

      - Institute of Physics (IOP) journals up to 2012

      - Nature Publishing Group (NPG) for the following journals up to 2012:

          - Nature Cell Biology
          - Nature Chemistry
          - Nature Immunology
          - Nature Structural and Molecular Biology
          - Nature Reviews Drug Discovery
          - Nature Reviews Immunology

      - Oxford University Press (OUP) journals up to 2012

      - Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) up to 2014:
          - journals
          - ebooks: Issues in Environmental Science & Technology

      - Sage journals (up to 2009)

      -Springer journals up to 2014 and ebooks up to 2013

      - Wiley journals (up to 2014)

     Please consult the library database: we subscribe to most of the titles, which means you can access all the years for those titles.



    Open Access

    Open Archive ILL-ESRF (OA ILL-ESRF)

    ESRF and ILL intend to establish an institutional open archive where the authors versions of the publications will be made available online via the library database, according to publishers agreements, available on the ROMEO/SHERPA site.

    Please send us the authors versions of your publications.


    3 studies requested by the European Commission show that 50% of scientific papers published in 2011 now available for free.

    We now subscribe to the Dawsonera platform of ebooks. Please consult the users guide before using it.

    French projects

     ISTEX (2012-2018) a French program

    • For the acquisition of journals archives, ebooks and databases via national licences
    • For building a national platform with the metadata which will be available in 2015.

      We can access :

    • Archives from Springer journals (until 1996)
    • Archives from Springer ebooks (1995-2004: 7500 ebooks)
    • Early English Books online (125 000 books published in England between 1473 and 1700)
    • Classiques Garnier Numérique (French dictionaries)



    The Digital Scientific Library (BSN)

    was created in 2009  on the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research's initative.

    There are 9 themes especially:

    • BSN1: Acquisition
    • BSN4: Open archives
