It's all change on the buses and trams!

3 July 2014

There are going to be major changes to Grenoble's bus and tram lines in 2014.

* On 28 June the new "E" tram line started operations between St Martin le Vinoux "Mairie" and Grenoble - Louise Michel.

* On 1 September two new stops will be added to our own tram "B" line : "CEA Cambridge" and "Grenoble Presqu’île".
And, to answer the question everyone is asking:: our tram B terminus will be about 280 metres from the avenue gate - a 380-metre walk from the site entry checkpoint.

* At the same time, on 1 September the TAG bus service will be completely reorganised, with the arrival of 5 new "chrono" services - buses timetabled to match the tram service. One of these, the C6, will run as far as the new site entrance. Its route will be that currently taken by the 34, 51 and 23 buses, so that should be of interest to quite a few of us.

As a result of all this, the other TAG bus routes will be adjusted and renamed, the Transisère lines will be  brought into the network... - all in all, it's the Big Bang!

You will find here the general map of the new network, and more detail in this document, (in French), together with a list of the new bus lines on page 8.

Perhaps this information will help you re-organise your travel arrangements for the next "Rentrée" in September?

GENERAL MAP as of 1st September 2014 now available

The future new public transport network is detailed here.
