Contributions

Please refer to the guidelines below in the preparation of your lectures, presentations and posters.

Lectures

Lectures will be given by experts from each of the EIROforum organisations, covering the full range of instrumentation needs within EIROforum.

Lecturers should allow at least 5 minutes for questions at the end of their talk.

Abstracts should be sent by email to the Organising Committee (esi2011-info(at)esrf.fr) by Friday 18th of February 2011, and will be made available via the programme webpage.

Presentation slides will be made available via this website at the end of the event.

Posters

All students are strongly encouraged to prepare and present a poster of their own work. Posters will be displayed on A0 boards during the school and judged by a panel. They will also be made available via the programme webpage

Each student should bring a printed version of their poster.

Each student should also prepare a short clip presentation, lasting no more than 3-minutes.
This provides an opportunity to comment on and explain the work presented on the poster. Please limit the presentation to a maximum of 3 slides (.ppt or .pdf). Clip presentations will be organised into 3 sessions (Mon 16 3:45pm, Tue 17 4:30pm, Wed 18 4:30pm) followed by open poster viewing sessions for closer study.

All submitted posters will be judged by a panel and a small monetary prize (courtesy of our sponsors) will be awarded to the best works. The award presentation will be made during the conference dinner on Wednesday 18 May.

Deadline for submission: Posters should be submitted through the registration form for selected participants, which will be available from 1st – 25th April 2011.

Poster Clips should be submitted through the registration form or, in exceptional cases, provided on a USB key/memory stick on Monday 16 May.
