The future joint science building

In September 2012 a 5000 m2 science building will be built on the campus by the ILL and ESRF. It will be a hive of future projects for the large-scale instruments, housing new joint laboratories and scientific partnerships, notably for soft condensed matter, the science library, and more…

The German architects  Nickl & Partner have just been awarded the contract for the design and prime contractorship.

The construction of the building  is funded by France's "Contrat de Projets Etat-Région" and "Plan Campus".
