The ESRF and ILL welcome groups of students at University level for visits of one of the institutes, or both. A visit of one institute takes half a day, and a combined visit a full day, including lunch in the epn-campus restaurant.

The ESRF organises, once per month, a visit for interested individuals, in French.

Security requirements for all group visits:

• Visitors to the ILL must be at least 18 years old, and visitors to the ESRF 15 years.

• The following information is needed at least one week before for the site access: last and first name, date of birth, place of birth, nationality – for all persons in the group

• Visitors of the ILL must not take any photos inside the buildings.

• Please bring your passport or national ID card with you for the visit.

Upon arrival of a group visit, the person in charge of the group should ask the staff at the entrance of the campus to contact the person above with whom he/she was in contact.

• The following information is essential to grant you access on site: last and first name, date of birth, place of birth, nationality
• For security reasons, visitors are not able to take any unauthorised photographic devices, on site.

• If you are meeting with staff members, at the site entrance you will need to provide your contact details and your ID. Please ensure you have it with you.
